"Room was spacious ( home away from home for sure!) and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us great suggestions on where to eat since we were visiting! Will definitely come back if I ever visit Portland again."

"We checked in at about 8:30pm and left at like 10pm. We had 2 rooms and neither of them were clean. The bathroom in the first one was filthy. Not just like oh I forgot to clean it once but caked dirt and grime on the outside of the shower. Then I opened my bed to find a hair in it and then some dirt. So they ended up giving us a second room and the shower was still dirty and then I opened up the bed and there was dirt in the bed. I ended up leaving so disgusted and had to pay $323 for another hotel. Expedia would not refund my money so I will never stay at a spark or use expedia again as all they offered me was a $50 credit. Shame on you Spark and Expedia."

"Stayed one night, traveling thru. The room was clean , the beds were comfortable. Only complaint was the restaurant for breakfast we went down at 7 and there was not anyone there. We sat down and waited for like ten minutes and left. Went elsewhere. Hotel was hard to find but it was dark when we got there."

"Honestly, a stunning hotel. It was beautiful, clean, and the best staff. The man who checked us into the hotel was kind, funny, and informative. They had cucumber water in the entrance and a great coffee shop in the morning. Highly recommend the iced blueberry latte! Would definitely love to stay here again!"

"Hotel is pretty much as advertised. Reasonably priced for an expensive city and had free parking and helpful staff. Decor is a bit outdated (room definitely could have done with a new mattress) and generally needs a lick of paint. Big complaint would be the AC in our room - it was easily in the 90s during our stay and the AC was making the situation worse. My other half was unable to sleep and had to take a 3am shower! She had to wet a washcloth with cold water and put it on her forehead to be semi-comfortable in the room. Should also note that we were up 3 flights of steep narrow stairs - completely fine if you are able (we were) but we did note that would be inaccessible for our older relatives. Additionally hotel is a good half an hour walk to the old port but this is obviously a trade-off for the price - uber/bus both easy to get close to town."
