Too much focus by owners on pub business with more care seen to be given to diners over guests. Room was dated with missing or broken fixtures and fittings, and cheap furniture. Also a lack of detail given to guests, an example was no milk in fridge to make tea in morning, an error not found until needed. Positives were; outstanding quality of food and very polite staff in attached pub. Location was also very good and amenities were clean. Overall, at price point, only take a small amount of expectation for your stay.

Staff are great, the room is super clean and the bed is comfy. Being able to stumble home after a delicious dinner is a bonus.

The staff show so much hospitality it absolutely made my trip. The rooms are warm and my snow gear dried out overnight. Would be so nice to Reuven for a beer on the deck in summer too.

I liked everything. The room was nice. The Hotel was fantastic. The pub was fantastic. The food was very nice. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We also loved the town. Its a very beautiful town. Also we met some of the locals and they were very nice people.

Top location at the entry to the Hotham Heights ski resort and a family friendly pub next door with great food, wine and bar staff. Kids enjoyed playing pool every night. It's cold in Harrietville so don't expect the hotel to be 5 star centrally heated as it has a single wall heater on a timer that you have to remember to press boost on every 2-3 hours. The beds are comfortable, shower was hot and strong, drying area got our ski gear dry overnight.

The quiet and beauty of the area was fantastic and the hotel meal at dinner was really good with a friendly, casual atmosphere! What we were unhappy with was mainly the lack of information and infrastructure We, as a couple, are serious AFL fans so really appreciate a sports footy service, or, at the least, reliable TV. This was not case and we were not informed that there was no TV altogether that weekend until too late! Also the heating in our unit was extremely poor. We did not enjoy getting up every 2 hrs to press a boost switch to make the room temperature bearable - there was no reverse cycle air conditioning - and this in May!
