"The staff was welcoming. We left bags with the bellhop for a fee of $1 per bag. Location is great, you can exit on either side of the block. The room was a decent size for NYC. Beds were queen size and comfortable. No fridge or microwave in the room but there was ice nearby on our floor. AC did not work well and we were never cool. I sat in the lobby of our floor one morning to not wake my family and the lobby was hot too. Wifi also was not great. I had work to do and had to use my phone hotspot because the wifi would not stay connected. Shower is fine but bathrooms are super small. The toilet faces the sink. Very little room if you need to get dressed in the bathroom. Never waited too long for an elevator. Due to the size of the hotel, there are a lot of people and it is always busy/crowded in the lobby. Hotel offers free daily walking tours and also has a wine happy hour a couple of evenings. We were given complimentary water, chips, a chocolate bar and a bottle of wine. Housekeeping was good and room/property is clean. The breakfast options are good. You can choose grab and go in the building or walk down the block to eat at Carve, where you get a small menu with about 10 choices that are then made fresh, and you can redeem there until 3:00. I would stay again if I could afford a room with a bigger bathroom, or if I could leave the restroom door open based on who I'm traveling with. Also would only stay during colder months when I'm not dependent on air conditioning."
"What a beautiful, modern and clean hotel! Rooms are very well appointed and not too small for NYC. Staff are what make this place amazing, everyone is so accommodating and nice. Room service is a bit expensive for the quality but didn't stop us ordering more. All up we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
"So, I will start by saying that previous reviews were 100% correct- Junior is amazing! There was quite a lineup for check-in when I arrived, however, upon being greeted by Junior I suddenly didn't mind the wait!
The Hotel was lovely! The entrance/lobby was really nice! It was open, clean and inviting! The bar/lounge area was also quite comfortable! We had a drink from the lounge one night when we came back to the hotel....it was delicious! The man that served us (sorry but I can't remember his name - originally from Bangladesh) was so very nice. We had a great chat, he was very welcoming and made a great cocktail recommendation!
The room was very nice. We stayed in a king bed room with a view. It was not huge but certainly big enough. The bathroom door was a slider door and didn't close tight. This was not a big deal for us but might be for some. The furniture and fixtures were all brand new and the room was freshly painted. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we got a very good night's sleep.
The housekeeping was also excellent. Our room was cleaned daily and was always done before we got back for an afternoon break.
The location of the hotel was great. It is in a very busy area, but we wanted to stay near Times Square so we knew going there that it would be busy! It was a 2-3 minute walk to Times Square, lots of restaurants, liquor stores and Broadway shows. There was also a Walgreens right next door!
Would I return? Absolutely!"
