"The room was clean but the staff are not on site. It was easy check in by use of a keypad. It was right on the main drag of town so pretty noisy. The toilet was so low it was hard for me to use - I am quite spry but if anyone had mobility issues, it would be very difficult. The toilet also would not flush during the night so I had to ask my husband to fix it. The curtains were not opaque so lots of light came in. I guess for the money we expected more. It is one thing to pay around $100 or less and have some of these issues but for over $200 - absolutely not. I like this style of motel but just needed to comment on some of the things that could have been improved. It is close to the the start of the Heartland Trail which was a plus. I think the biggest thing is to get a higher toilet."

"I really enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable, clean and kept. I had a great view of Lake Bemidji but unfortunately it rained most of the time I was there but the view was amazing when the rain cleared. People were very friendly and bars turned out to be a local hangout for people in the area which added a homey feel. I don’t frequent bars but theirs were welcoming. Everyone was very friendly. The only negative was the breakfast, though it came with the room fee, it was a bit weak on the edible side. Seemed to be tailored for kids. I didn’t get to use the pool facility but it was located separately which is likely good from a noise standpoint. They have an amazing gift shop in the lobby with what looked to be high quality items for sale. I would stay again if ever in the area."
