"This was our 4th stay here and we were a little reticent as had heard the adult restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment. However we were pleased to find the alternative in place was adult breakfast at the Asian wok which was amazing. We booked the a la carte restaurants for every evening and had a great experience. The staff are amazing as usual the building work is as discreet as it could be. Overall a great stay again"

"The Kagi experience was brilliant from the welcome at the airport before transfer to the island. The transfer to the hotel was an amazing journey and the staff welcome with drinks beautiful. The room was extremely big and that mini bar wow!!, bath tub outdoor including extra shower, now that’s luxury encoded. Had the same housekeeper, what an amazing young man. The food was beautifully made, restaurant staff well mannered and interactive. Thumbs up to the chef🫶.Had my nails redone and massage at the Spa with beautiful ladies. "What an incredible place! The views, the peace, the sheer beauty, everything was all we wanted and more. The staff are incredibly helpful and the kindest we have ever encountered. Naseem was our island host who felt more like a friend, helpful, attentive and caring. Ravi, the cleaner for our beach villas was faultless! He works so hard and kept everywhere pristine, was always happy and left beautiful decorations on our bed using grass reeds! Puja, our favourite waitress in the market, took care of our family of six at every meal time. There are so many people to thank for our amazing stay! We will be back again one day! We miss everyone and everything about this place. If you are undecided where to go, Joy Island should definitely be somewhere you pick!!"

"Unfortunately my wife had a fall, broke her arm and required hospitalisation and surgery. The staff of the resort were fantastic, supportive and so caring. The resort is immaculate and has everything one could want from an island holiday in paradise. While the resort is of a high standard and maintained, the building safety standards are well below those in Australia. However, this is consistently the case with most properties in many countries, so watch out for the tripping hazards! Having said that, this is a wonderful resort with outstanding staff."
