"We had a wonderful first stay at the Standard. The hotel is very up market and our room was spacious and stylish with modern amenities. We stayed in a suite with a dining area, bath in the room and balcony. It was perfect for our first family trip away with our one year old daughter. Having room service available was brilliant so we could have breakfast in the room before getting ready for the day. Lastly, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Really can't fault our stay and wish it had been...

"Lovely country house hotel set in the Thames valley and overlooking the river Thames from the surrounding hills. Nice walks around the gardens. Excellent food in the restaurant and a great full English breakfast. Room was well presented with large bathroom, shower over bath. We had a room with a separate sitting area which had great views out over the valley and river. Wi-Fi, etc worked well, two TV’s one in each room. Did not use the large pool or Spa."

"I got to the hotel 4 hours before check in after 24 hours straight of traveling and 46 hours of no sleep. The woman at the front desk went above and beyond to get me checked in within 15 minutes of my arrival. The room was ideal for a solo traveler, spacious enough and clean and cozy. The hotel’s common spaces were absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t get to participate in any of the many kinds of events/classes they host as I was too busy but I wish I got the chance to check them out as they looked...
