"The property was very clean. The staff was very attentive and the food was well prepared"

"Beautiful hotel with amazing potential, but unfortunately the food and restaurant experience really hurt the stay for us. The rooms are modern, extremely spacious, and very clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the pools are large enough to feel relaxing and private, and the beach is super close with golf carts constantly available. However, the food was honestly some of the worst we’ve ever had at a hotel. We’re not picky eaters at all, but there were multiple things we literally could not eat. As Dominicans, it’s disappointing thinking tourists may leave believing our food is bad when our country actually has amazing cuisine. It honestly felt like the hotel prioritized cutting costs over providing a quality dining experience. We’re not expecting elite gourmet cuisine at an all inclusive, but at the very least the food should be enjoyable and consistently edible. The staff around the property were very nice and helpful, but unfortunately most of the restaurant and buffet staff were rude and unwelcoming. We also didn’t love how persistently packages and “opportunities” were being sold by concierge, to the point where it felt uncomfortable. Overall, the property itself is gorgeous and we still enjoyed many aspects of our stay, but the food and restaurant experience would keep us from returning."

"At first, we were unsure about choosing this hotel instead of the resorts we usually visit, but it turned out to be a great decision. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the rooms were very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day. The food was delicious with a huge variety of options, and we loved the different restaurants inside the resort. The pool and beach were both amazing as well. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!"

"Its a small resort. We were sick 2 days out of the 4 days we were there. Not a lot of options of food and the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed most days. Rooms are old and dirty. The shower door wouldn't completely close so every time we showered, the bathroom would flood. Mike's is the only place that had my decaf coffee (wonderful little coffee/pastry shop) that was the highlight of our stay. Looking forward to our morning and evening coffee. The lady that cleaned our room was amazing and very attentive to our needs. Other then that I will not be returning. Please look at The Serenade before booking this spot. We went there last year and it did not disappoint. EL FARO DO BETTER."

"We booked for a king size bed, but they put us on double beds. I asked to get a king but they only changed us after 3 nights. If you cannot afford what was reserved, i'd at least expect some upgrade, for these 3 nights. Besides that everything was nice. The hotel is good, food is better than other peers. The aqua park is fun for adults too. Only complain is regarding the beach area: they could have few umbrellas and better chairs"

"The staff seemed a bit standoffish sometimes and the throw pillow in our room was soiled when we arrived but the food was great compared to our last resort and we enjoyed Beyoncé and the entertainment group very much"
