"This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. What a gem! Sue Ellen could not have been more welcoming - even making a dinner reservation for us and updating the restaurant because we were running late. Rimu Lodge is delightful. "A one night stay on a roadie down the West Coast heading for the snow. We have stayed here before and frankly, wouldn't consider anywhere else. This time we had a miner's cottage (free upgrade!), it was warm and quirky which we love. Ate in the bar, a real kiwi pub experience and friendly locals. The area is very interesting"
