"We loved this hotel. Looking at the antiques and old photos was really fun. The beds were very comfortable and the room really clean. The hotel staff was helpful when asked about hiking or any other questions we had. The breakfast buffet was huge and really good. We were in Geilo during their shoulder season before summer with few restaurants open, so we had both nights dinners in their restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel! "

"Decent hotel, good restaurant, friendly staff and breakfast was alright. The sauna was a plus. The rooms weren’t up to standards, though. I booked a double room, but it turned out they only have twin rooms. Beds were poor and the rooms were ill equipped. In stead of somewhere to sit down or somewhere to keep your clothes, the room was equipped with a dish washer and a worktop. If it was a fully functioning kitchen I could see the point. Turns out, it was not quite a hotel room and not quite an...

"We got a spacious family room in the first floor with natural light and views of the mountain across the valley. Unfortunately, it was not sound proof and one could hear music from the hotel bar until around midnight. Good breakfast w several options. We enjoyed the proximity to the slopes, the indoor pool and the bowling alley. Dinner at the hotel was good, specially the service. "

"Basic camping but very clean, good price and lovely service. Affordable and very nice breakfast. Some nice entertainment outside for kids and adults I.e play ground, trampoline, mini golf, table football. Good location too. Tent, campervan space and few little cottages"

"Beautiful lakeside setting we wish we could have enjoyed longer. Staff member reached out to us when we were running late from a mountain hike and made arrival easy for us. Friendly cat brought us a "gift" after we arrived and kept the vermin away while we slept. Most excellent breakfast in the morning was a classic spread of Scandinavian "bread," which is bread, eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cereal, and much more, all serviced in the dining room with a view of the lake."

"Great room except view was a wall. Had everything we could need along w/icebox & stove. Shower was so small you had to turn sideways to get in! Food was expensive in dining area. $50 for nachos & a club sandwich. Nice stay but expensive"
