"One night stay to do a parkrun nearby in Glasgow and had a good night at this hotel. Room was comfortable and quiet. Couldn't get the air con to work so it was a little warm. The on site gym is good and the buffet breakfast was fine. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We paid an additional £20 as we had our dog with us and we left the room spotless so not sure what the extra charge is for. With free parking and free WiFi also included the price is otherwise good value for this hotel."

"A one night stay prior to a holiday. The hotel is dated but clean. The room was spacious and had what we needed. The staff were amazing and very helpful. It is what you have paid for and we would stay again for a night if we needed a quick stop. "

"I was woken up by the sound of loud banging at 0800 on a Saturday morning; when I asked the front desk what the noise was, they told me renovations were taking place on the 2nd floor, and that they were taking place all day, everyday (including weekends). This information was not provided to us before, during, or after we checked in, and now the hotel is telling hotels.com that we did not speak to them about it (so they can avoid paying out any form of compensation). If I could leave them zero stars, I would."

"Very friendly staff , food was lovely . Stayed in the new build facilities , rooms were very well presented and in an art deco style . Looking forward to the new build spa opening in September, we’ll be back "

"Plenty of parking on site. Check in was seamless, very pleasant staff. Room was a good size, clean and modern. We did not have breakfast."

"Breakfast was disappointing.Only cooked breakfast on offer. No choice for those who dont like cooked. No fresh fruit at all . No continental option ie cheese or meat which was offered on previous stays. "

"The actual room was fairly clean with a decent shower and toilet and good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the main road. The building and surroundings are very run down, I wasn't even sure the pub was open to go in and collect the key as the windows had bars on them and the hanging sign was empty. Needs a bit of a paint job. Parking was dodgy, surrounded by bins, rubbish and just not very clear where to park."
