The only thing that was great about this property is the location and the staff. Otherwise, the building is bare bones, the room conditions and furniture as substandard. I would rate it a single notch above a hostel only because you get your own room. Otherwise, it has that hostel feel to it - i.e. very low budget operation. If you "just need a place to sleep" this will just pass, and I strongly emphasize the words "just pass". My family and I will not be staying here again. 5 nights was way too much to take under these conditions, and we are generally very forgiving. I would say a 1 night stay for a normal person would be already enough, and maximum 2 nights stay. By night 3 you may be subject to regret for your decision to stay any longer. The hotel is situated within a wet market - the adjacent neighbor is a butcher that has raw meat hung in the open all day. There are night-market type street vendors out directly in front of the building, and vegetable and fruit stands lined along the street which this "hotel" is situated. Note the "hotel" in quotes, as I would have expected more from something that can be called a Hotel. This is more like a half a step up from guest house, like the others listed in TST. If you want this location, choose the Ramada a few steps down the street, you might have a better experience. Do not book this hotel if you have a family, a girlfriend or wife who enjoys cleanliness. You will just end up ruining the mood of your trip.
