Horikiri Shobu Garden

So many varieties, so many colors... practically no tourists! Free admission! What more can I asked for?!

The first Iris garden I visited this trip. The best in terms of varieties and colors. Not to mention it's free admission and very easy to get to! Even the station is named after the garden!
Lots of Irises, almost no tourists! Awesome place!
Everyone knows April is for cherry blossom viewing, May is for wisteria in Japan but most tourists don't know that June is great for hydrangeas and Japanese Irises in Tokyo especially!

I found myself walking through lanes of hydrangeas in the 8 minutes walk from the station to this garden. Upon arrival I found it even more surprising that this is a free entry garden with so many varieties and color shades of the Irises! Such a pleasant surprise!
