"Hotel felt very modern and spacious. One of the best standard rooms we’ve visited. Close enough to the main areas but not too close that you were surrounded by bars. Location could feel a little out of the way if you were travelling on your own and there was a bit of building work going on next door but that didn’t disrupt our stay. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but there were lots of options just 5 min walk away."

"Breakfast is not there, string point, buffet style, with very limited options for hot food and a toaster section that takes an episode of Coronation Street to produce my toast. The bar is nice but very small, and the evening meal is not much to write home about. Fire alarm went off at 6am both mornings of my stay, and not even an apology from reception when I checked out, just people smoking in the rooms, what can I do? The rooms you can tell are undergoing some transformation, but mine was very tired, and my bath panel even danced for me when I opened the door. The grounds are beautiful, and possibly within time, this hotel will be a gem again, but I was disappointed with my stay overall"

"The room was very spacious and fit five adults comfortably. It was close to a bus stop and allowed us to go into downtown Dublin. The shuttle to the airport also came in handy."

"The Mayson is a fine hotel, but for touring Dublin it is a bit removed so keep that in mind if planning to walk. The staff tried their best to be helpful, but they also double charged us, gave us incorrect/confusing parking instructions which caused us to get stuck in a parking garage. It’s very evidently a hotel catered to the neighboring concert arena, not touring the city."

"Staff here was outstanding! From doorman to wait staff. Lovely amenities, in-room fridge was stocked and the fresh lemon and lime for water in the room was a treat! Shower water was hot and plentiful, bar in lobby was well staffed and appointed (but 10 euro for a small bowl of ice cream?). There was a small coffee machine and an instant hot water kettle for tea in the room. Beds were comfortable, 2 types of pillow available. If you've been traveling and need some fresh laundry, they can take care of that for you for 20 euro/bag which was very welcomed. There was a hot water bottle available to warm your bed which I have never seen at a hotel before and I used because my feet are always cold! Loved that! Traveled with 2 other couples, was able to check in several hours early to one room and store everyone's luggage until the other rooms were open which was appreciated. Plenty of shops and food nearby and a quick walk to the DART train. Secure parking available and could accommodate our 9person van! Insulation was phenomenal! You couldn't hear your neighbors or anyone walking down the hall - ever! Would absolutely stay here again."
