"Food menu on website did not match reality. The prices had also changed, in some cases more than 10% Lots of new staff who were not knowledable, helpful or some were not even very polite. Service in the Restaurant was very poor. Long wait times. Eventually got a table, but then sat waiting for a menu and then to order. The menu now on offered is a lot worse than previous menu."
"Stayed in a twin room with my daughter for one night, before flying from London Luton. The room was basic, but fine - pretty much as you would expect. Location was fine for the airport - a quick and easy drive out there for an early flight. Main issue is that Luton town centre, where the hotel is located, feels very hostile and unsafe at night. Groups of youths hanging around, shadowy figures lurking in doorways. All pretty unpleasant"
"I had an exceptional experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the reception staff.
The house keeping lady was so nice. I was totally amazed.
Definitely will return and of course happy to recommend others. "
"Negatives: Housekeeping entered the room when we had the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. They also knocked the door on the last day at 11.15am and said we should've already left but we had arranged for a late checkout. We were only there for 4 nights so to have this happen on 2 occasions wasn't great. The reception staff didn't always greet/acknowledge the guests as they passed. The teabags are awful, bring your own! Breakfast was the same every morning. It would've been nice to mix it up a bit.
Positives: One of the reception staff was excellent when we were checking in (Colin). He was extremely helpful and friendly, even when we requested to change rooms. The room was lovely and clean. Surprisingly very little noise from the planes and it was interesting to watch them and the nearby Dart from our window.
We would definitely stay again. The rooms were good, breakfast is included. Parking is extra (£12 per day). It was very central for all the things we wanted to do and see."
"The only downside of my stay was that I have asked for a wake up call as I had an early flight in the morning and wanted to make sure that I would definitely be up but that call never came. Was very disappointed, otherwise it was a lovely and convenient place stay when travelling from Luton Airport. "
"Hotel is suitable for a stay prior to an early flight. We only used the room and there are some things that appear dated and tired. The air con could be better - it only made noise rather than produce any air, and the shower screen was misaligned which meant the bathroom floor flooded a little.
But it was fine for the price we paid for the room and its purpose. "
"Clean room but tired bathroom. I was originally pleased to have a bath but there was no plug.
Comfortable bed but this is the second time I have stayed and had to make the bed. The bottom sheet had not been fitted to the bed just put on top of the mattress then covered with the duvet. Sloppy housekeeping."
"Parking easy, the rest just meh, average at best, quilts to small, ripped, decor dated , sofa in room minging, felt like since reopening it wasn’t refreshed"
