"My room was, perhaps, the worst on the property. Very cramped and with no privacy. The pool was literally 4 steps from the room entrance. Unlike most of the other rooms it had no patio or terrace, as advertised. I kept asking for a change of room but after being sitting along for two days, I had to get out, which was very difficult to manage as it required Expedia to intervene on my behalf. I cannot recommend this property. , nor do I'd I appreciate the dismissive attitude of the manager. There are better, quiter properties right next door. I recommend The New Garden. It has many more rooms to choose from and the management is great, as is the free breakfast! At Casa Valera, juice isn't included with the"

"Room was clean Staff friendly but the communication is you request something from the room don’t get delivered. Hot tub fine Pool amazing no complaints "

"The front desk staff is mean, unhelpful and dismissive. The rest of the staff is lovely. The rooms have a smell of mold or some other unpleasant smell. I nearly got asthma after two nights. I would not return due to management/front desk staff and the mold/odor situation. "

"The room was very clean, the pool was nice, and the staff was wonderful. Our problem was the Prostitution. You can expect to see around 20 single men staying on their own, and bringing Prostitutes in all night and early morning at breakfast. Not a place for families. "

"This resort only the pool club and food is good. Staff is ok. But I made a reservation with a king size bed and got a room with two full size beds when it was only me and my husband. Also the bar is too far from the pool. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. "

"Expedia listed this property as 4 star, other internet sites list it as 5 star. Although there may well be parts of the resort that are 4 or 5 star, my "standard" room certainly was not. Broken window in my room, busted furniture, broke tiles, power to my room unstable frequently going out. The resort moved me to a different room that was not much better. The power in the room stayed on, but still damaged woodwork, broken tiles, wires off security alarm on slider door, ceiling fan filthy and worn, ceiling vent caked with filth, just awful. And at the resort's steakhouse restaurant, when diners at the next table went to the salad bar, one of the property's stray cats jumped up on the diner's table eating off the plates, absolutely atrocious. I complained to Expedia that they misrepresented this resort as 4 star, and that Expedia listed the "standard" room as having a separate bedroom, which none of the standard rooms had. Expedia offered to relocate me to different lodging, but they were not willing to relocate me to equivalent lodging of an all-inclusive ocean front resort. All Expedia offered me were hotels that were not all-inclusive, not ocean front, and hotels not resorts. So then i replied to them that since they could not, or would not, relocate me to equivalent lodging, i would accept their alternate offer of financial compensation. After multiple communications to them, they refused to reply. So no relocation and no financial compensation."
