Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. In the “Troutbeck” room there is a nasty trip hazard into the bathroom. A stubbed toe was annoying but a cracked skull would have been more so. Tip: if it’s not fixed ...

This hotel was ideal for my 2 night stay in Penrith. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and robes/slippers available for the pool and/or spa.
