"We had a great stay overall and were very happy with the service throughout our visit.
A special shoutout to Paul at the bar, who really made our stay memorable. He was friendly, engaging, and took the time to have a genuine conversation while offering excellent “spots to visit” recommendations. His welcoming attitude and great service were a real highlight.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we’d be happy to return."
"We had a lovely stay at the lodge, in one of the dog friendly rooms. The room was clean, and equipped with the essentials. The staff were friendly.
The rooms are quite dated and could use some upgrades to the furnishings and pillows. We would stay again! Thank you."
"We have a very enjoyable 2 night stay. Front desk staff were wonderful and super friendly. My husband golfed and enjoyed the course. We will return for another visit."
"We loved our stay here, even though it is still somewhat under construction. The domes themselves are spacious and clean with a view over the lake (across the road). Wifi worked well, and dome had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. AC/heat unit was efficient and there was an extra heater "just in case" which we did not need. Communal bathrooms are new and clean and each stall includes a shower, toilet and sink. The skylight opening in very cool to see both the night sky and the morning sunshine.
We were initially nervous when we pulled in because several domes are incomplete, but the ones that are finished are fantastic. The workers completing other domes are quiet and respectful."
"The Fair Isle was the perfect location for the start of our Cabot Trail experience. Two amazing dogs greeted us and yhe lady at the front desk was so friendly and even added to our Cabot Trail experience with some recommendations. The motel had a pool and beautiful views right across the street. It was very clean and we had a good nights rest. Highly recommend to stay here!"
"The room was sparse. It is not a fancy place. BUT it is very well located in Baddeck. Perfect for a first-time visit. Breakfast is not included which might be a good thing because the coffee shop across the street is great and sometimes comes with Rose, the best cheerleader for Cape Breton imaginable. She is full of great tips and enthusiasm.
The restaurant is highly thought of. We did not dine here because the menu did not excite us."
