"Undoubtedly the most magical place we’ve ever stayed, words and pictures just can’t do The Little Cottage in the Woods justice. Every corner of the cottage and gardens reveal more delightful touches! We were sorry to have to leave so soon and wish we could have stayed longer. "A pleasant property, though not quite the experience we expected The inn is a lovely, well-presented property and it is clear that considerable care has gone into maintaining high standards. However, we felt that the overall experience did not quite match our expectations of a five-star stay. The welcome was somewhat formal, and we would have appreciated a little more warmth and friendliness. There are also house rules which, while understandable, felt rather strict and perhaps took away slightly from the relaxed atmosphere one might hope for when staying at an inn. Overall, the property itself is attractive and well cared for, but for us the hospitality did not quite reach the level suggested by its five-star rating."
