10/10 Excellent

"Engin and the entire staff immediately made me feel as if I had just arrived home instead of checking into a hotel. On a quiet street in the center of Fatih, close to all of your tourist destinations and surrounded by a cornucopia of incredible restaurants, Sultanhan will always be one of my favorites as I am already dreaming of a return trip in the near future."

"Mr Emir at the reception was exemplary, but it ends there! The housekeeping were hit and miss, but mostly miss. Breakfast staff on top floor were not polite and showed bad attitude. The property only and only makes up the positive reviews for it’s location and views, but the hotel itself is very old and dated and needs a massive and thorough renovation. Air condition works but so-so and breakfast just does the job (ONLY JUST). I think a 2/5 star rating overall is adequate, however, I was seriously considering giving them a 1 star review, but that would have been too harsh. They said the hotel was fully booked but I really think it wasn’t and I only ever heard other stayers at the hotel commending the views and nothing else. Apparently there has been a change of ownership in the last few years and the last known renovation was in 2013, so these new owners have neglected the property BIG TIME! I wouldn’t advise against staying here, as I’ve stayed at worse properties, but I would warn to be EXTREMELY cautious and if you need more water in addition to the two bottles that they are supposed to put in the room each day, but don’t always, I would suggest buying from the local shop. It’s rated a 4 star hotel, but more 3 star in my honest opinion. I’ve stayed at the nearby Sura Design Boutique property and also the Doubletree by Hilton Sirkeci hotel and they are both rated 4 star, but they are miles and skies above the standards of Hotel Arcadia Blue. It was always too dark here."

Swissotel The Bosphorus Istanbul

"The restaurant and cafe staff seemed unhappy and the level of service was poor. Only liked the room and bathroom is decent, however had no bath tub or dressing table to get ready. Spa facilities are great. Overall wouldn’t stay again, wasn’t welcomed or made feel special for our wedding anniversary. Has a good Indian restaurant called Madhu’s but the staff doesn’t understand basic English. Poor service too."

"Great location right in the heart of Taksim. Our room had an amazing view, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. While the room was a bit small for two people, the stunning view more than made up for it. A special thank you to our housekeeper, Bedriye, who was incredibly kind and kept our room spotless every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!"

Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center

"Everything was great. The only thing I can only complain about it is that the AC in my room wasn’t working. I went there to her surgery and I put the Hilton because he has a very good reputation and is supposed to be comfortable however the AC in my room was broken. I have to call the people to fix it a couple of times. It’s not the conditions I want to be when you are going to surgery and you just wanna chill and recover room temperature was sometimes 28°. I was swearing it was very uncomfortable. You definitely don’t fly 12 hours to get surgery and chill in a room that is 28°."

"Parking very tight , staff ok , rooms not clean the smell of cigarettes exist even in non smoking rooms , pool is out door not heated , breakfast the same every day , the laundry is very expensive and and they have trick when you get the bill they put it in euro and you think is in Turkish lira so you think it’s cheap but when you go to check out you found out that the 2 t-shirts and 2 pairs of sucks and 2 underwear is about €40 just laundry without even ironing I don’t recommend it they say it’s 5 stars but it feels the most 3-4 stars"
