"Beautiful resort near Jan Thiel beach. Perfect location. Great restaurant, clean comfortable rooms and beds. Nice staff. We stayed in a villa and it was perfect for a family of 5. "
"The common are in the unit is not air conditioned couldn’t find any silverware in the kitchen gave up on planning to fix meals. Would have been better is there was over head fans the fan they did help didn't help staff was wonderful and the rooms did have air and were cool"
"Modern, clean apartment in Jan Thiel. Walking distance to the beach, boat trips, restaurants, supermarket etc.
The apartment contains a kitchen/ living room and a bedroom with bathroom + private balcony and pool + BBQ area shared with a few other apartments in the same building. They also owns the property next door, so it's possible to use their pool as well.
If you rent a car it's a short drive to Mambo Beach, Tug Boat Bech for snorkeling or Willemstad.
I can absolutely recommend staying at...
"We stayed for 3 nights. There is a hangout stop closeby. Would recommend renting a car... We did not and getting around to our activities via taxi and public bus were a hassle. There is parking inside. The host checked in with us, to ensure the visit was going well and offered recommendations on places to visit."
"The apartment is very well equipped and all the utensils and furniture were in good condition. The staff were very helpful and gave us tips on where to snorkel.
The only negative is that the appliances are European and, for an American, difficult to use without a manual."

"The Jan Thiel area of Curacao is upper class and elegant. The Bed&Bike at Jan Thiel is perfectly situated away from partying, and close to the beauty of the island.
Cars can be rented down in Jan Thiel.
The staff was so helpful, rooms were clean and maintained daily, pool and sitting areas gorgeous.
I’d definitely stay here again!"
"The resort was beautiful & located in a great spot on the island. Villa was clean & equipped with everything we needed.
*Kitchen had plates, utensils, cooking supplies & even tupperware.
*Dishwasher was helpful to throw everything in at the end of the day & wake up to clean dishes.
*Bedrooms are wonderfully air-conditioned and comfortable!
*No issues w/ noisy neighbors & plenty of parking. *Description said '1 bathroom,' but the villa had 2 full bathrooms
*Fresh towels provided daily, or you could indicate using your towels more than 1 day.
*Pools were great! We spent most of our time at the beaches. Papagayo's beach was a little confusing to figure out b/c each beach section is right next to the other. Cabanas are $69/pp according to 1 person. Someone else said they paid $100 for a cabana...? The beach chairs are free and worked fine for us.
*Papagayo's section is a little farther from the restaurants which was ok. It was quieter and away from the DJ and crowds by the other restaurants.
*Pool towels can be exchanged at the reception or @ the towel hut at the beach.
*Grocery store nearby helped with buying essentials and snacks.
*We drank the water straight from the sink & had no issues.
*No restaurant on the resort property but plenty w/in walking distance by the beach.
*Wraparound porch was lovely to relax on each night
*Warning, there are def bugs both flying & crawling around the villa. It did not bother us but just a heads up.
Everyone was so friendly!! "
"I had a lovely stay. the lodge is very peaceful, surrounded by nature. Maxime is super friendly and helpful.
Excellent choice for family or solo travelers like me. "
"Great stay, wonderful, beautiful, clean, quiet location near the beach, bus stop out front, market 1 block away, beach and restaurants 2 blocks away. Loved it and will return."
"We do a lot of traveling and this was by far our worst experience ever with a stay anywhere in the world. We reserved a first floor unit many months in advance because we are in our 60s and have mobility issues and do not want to climb stairs. However when we showed up we were told that the only unit available was a second floor unit with a long flight of stairs to get to it. We asked about our first floor unit and we were told it was not available even though the property did not look crowded.
Our second huge issue was the fact that this property was described as air conditioned but it turns out that only applied to the bedroom and it only applied at night. It was like an oven in there and we were told not to run the air conditioning until night, just to open the window even though it was hot and humid and there was no breeze.
in addition the furniture around the pool was broken and just in general the property looked rundown. We tried working with the property management and they were not at all interested in addressing these issues and also expedia did not stand behind us in terms of wanting a refund for this misrepresented property. We were forced to find another accommodation at additional expense. We will think twice before using expedia to book a stay in the future."
