"The apartment was fantastic for me. Sadly I was only there for two nights, but would happy have stayed longer. I was worried beforehand about checking in through messages, but the process was simple and went smoothly. Communication with the property was so easy, I had a couple of questions to ask while I was there and would have expected to wait a while for a response, but really quick responses. The apartment itself was great, everything I needed. It was quiet, clean and the beds were really comfortable. I loved having the balcony to still sit in the early evening sun. The area was perfect for me, supermarket on the doorstep pretty much, many beaches and eating places within waking distance (if you enjoy walking), if not ubers or buses are easy to get. I took local buses no problem and had an amazing few days. I will definitely be going back to the apartments."
Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol

"We only stayed for 2 nights and, for our purposes, the hotel was good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The view from the balcony and dining room was incredible. The highlight was seeing a huge pod of dolphins come in very close to the shore on our last morning. Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the man working behind the lobby bar (I didn’t catch his name). When I found out the hotel parking was €19 per day and there was free parking available on the street, the member of staff at reception let me move my car free of charge, which i really appreciated. I think if we were staying for more than 2 days, we wouldn’t have enjoyed it all that much. Compared to other all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed in, the range of food choices wasn’t particularly interesting. It was fine for a short time but we would likely have ended up going out for meals had we been staying longer. Also, the room where the entertainment is held really isn’t suitable for the number of guests - lots of people having to stand and the view of the performance area is blocked by pillars from quite a few places in the room. We didn’t go to the bigger family pool area but the adult pool was very nice. Overall, it was good for a short stay but any longer and I’d be expecting more for my money."
Benalmádena Palace - Hotel SPA & Apartments

"Arrived slightly earlier than check in but room was ready ... Very clean with water and towel animal waiting for us, which the kids loved. All members of staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Pool area did become a little cluttered at times with cups and paper plates but otherwise all clean. Entertainment staff did not stop, kids loved the pool entertainment, especially the foam party! Nice touch having Benny the tiger visit at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast and dinner food quality was great, all fresh better than expected. Egg station was fab. Did try lunch once as was half board and could swap dinner over but dinner was much nicer, room for lunch abit bleak. Location wise, abit of a walk into main area but we knew that and didn't want to be in the main drag - still plenty of restaurants and bars near by. 5 mins walk to the beach. Daily cinema, football pitch, padle court, separate spa area with lounge beds, all clean. Hotel feels like it should be busy given the size but never waited for anything. Was on floor 5 above pub but didn't hear the entertainment. Would stay again if in the area."

"The hotel is not disability/handicapped friendly or adapted. My husband has a mobility disability. The hotel would not accommodate his simple requests such as moving the pool lounge chair to be able to get in and out of it - the staff was very rude and declined to have us move the chair to have him enjoy the pool. The hotel has a private elevator access to the beach. However, they only have 5 keys to the elevator that they give to guests on the first come - first serve bases (with a 50e deposit). They would not reserve one of the keys for him (with the deposit) due to his disability. Per the reception/front desk staff guests with disabilities don't have the priority in using this access. Instead, we had to use the public access a block away with many stairs and disability lift which was not functional. This was a great challenge to my husband. The staff is not very friendly to guests in general. About half of the staff is friendly and customer service oriented (Enrique and Pablo were excellent!), the other half of the staff is there only to "punch the clock" and seem to be bothered if you ask them for anything (the waitress in the restaurant would ignore you until you physically get up and go get her and than she would be very unhappy that you are disturbing her). The service definitely needs improvement! The rooms were great and clean, great A/C. All in all, Ritual Hotel can be a great place if they would improve their guest service and be accommodating to disabled guests."

"Location is very nice however rooms are a bit dated, with cracks in the flooring and we also found a pest in the room and the room was on fifth floor. Must admit the breakfast was excellent, do not know about other meals as we didn’t opted for those. Pool was nice but it does get overcrowded quickly. No parking at the hotel so beware if you are planning to rent a car. It is free parking on the streets but it is a very popular location so it is quite difficult to find.. if you do find a parking then at least for that day you won’t feel like taking the car out again which defeats the purpose of renting the car.. there are nearby car parks (best is the marina) but again not very practical -7/8 mins walk each way."

"This Hotel is perfect if you want to be near the train station from Malaga airport and be able to get food and drink in the local restaurants until midnight. We always stay here if we have a late inbound flight as it's easy! The rooms are basic but clean and it's quiet although it's very central. Staff are helpful. Air con is good. Shower pressure good. Comfortable beds. Nice little balcony. Continental breakfast available if you wish for it. Midday check out too. It's all good"

"We had a lovely time on our family holiday and enjoyed the facilities of this 4 star hotel. The rooms though dated are still well appointed and are due to be upgraded this winter. Would consider going back as long as the upgrades don’t increase the price too much. Special mention to the panorama bar, terraza and tiki bar"
