"It was good overall but the reason I didn’t rate a 5 star was because there was either bed bugs or flea in one of the rooms. I got bites all over the body and very itchy. I still got another 10 days on the road so that makes it quite frustrating. The place is great, just need to deal with the bug bites."

"The place was great! Maybe not for everyone but perfect for anyone with kids or just looking for something a little different. We are seniors but have done a lot of camping and this was glamping at its best. We picked the yurt which had an outdoor kitchen and an external bathroom. Everything felt really authentic yet still very modern. It all was just there as one would expect from a nice hotel but presented in a different way. Kind of a cowboy camp or depression era type of a kitchen outside...

"We were blown away with the ocean views our “apartment” had. The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms, a great kitchen, a six-person table and cozy living room. We were given a bottle of milk when we arrived to put in our fridge for coffee, tea, hot chocolate (all in the kitchen). We opened one of the cupboards and found a washing machine - awesome! This place and staff were amazing! Highly recommend!"

"I highly recommend Alpine pacific as a solo traveller. It’s affordable, clean and has friendly staff. There is a large section in the centre of the property with bathrooms and showers that were tidy and clean, as well as a laundry room and kitchen (if you’re planning to cook I recommend bringing your own cutlery and pans etc as there is a bit of a lack of it). "Was not happy with reception/owner - advised her that we would have to cut our trip short by a day due to a family situation that we heard about via phone as we were arriving at Bella Vista Kaikoura. Owner not helpful, insisted on full 2 day payment and offered no other options. We only stayed the one night and returned home the next day feeling disappointed by lack of empathy for our situation."
