"We were in Michigan for a special event. Like all places, rates go up significantly for big events. I found this motel. It looked nice and was value priced. It was nice. It was really clean, the location was great for our needs. It was the beginning of the season so were very few people in Douglas. We really enjoyed the area. The beds were comfy. My only complaint was no maid service. I did not expect any but for 3 nights it would have been nice to have the trash taken out. The rooms...

" Beautifully landscaped, felt more private than it probably was, rooms were small (we had two queen sized beds, so I’m sure that’s part of it) and the bathroom was even smaller but clean!! Beds and pillows are definitely above average. Check in was a breeze. Very, very quiet which was particularly important to me. I appreciate the assigned parking spots. The only thing I wish were different is being able to get coffee before 9:00 am. "

"This was lodging all hyped up for the legendary “Tulip Time”: So why was there construction happening during those days? Often starting at 7 am! There was a sign stating there may be noise during midday- an understatement. Further, 1) the “drapes” consisted of 4 panels of fabric, that did not cover the window entirely, allowing sunlight and street lamp light to interfere with sleep/rest, and they got tangled in each other, could rip easily as they were flimsy 2) the heating and air were...
