"We accidentally found this fabulous hotel due to sudden change of our vacation plan. Hotel is located in very calm quiet area within 10 km from Sigiriya local ticketing office. We had an unexpectedly wonderful time in the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and supportive. Hotel has two well maintained pools and beautiful restaurant. Room and the whole hotel was very clean. Foods are so delicious as well. Highly recommend for couples or anyone would like to spend true relax time before or after climbing the Sigiriya rock. This place deserves more than five stars. I encourage more locals to explore these beautiful places around the country."

"Beautiful place! It’s a little bit secluded which is great as it’s not noisy but you can still get to the main activities very easily. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool is such a treat when it’s a hot day out. The staff were all very helpful, pleasant, and attentive. The front desk helped us book a tour during our stay for the same day as we had a bit of time leftover and no plans. The breakfast buffet was excellent- there was a very friendly lady cooking the egg hoppers right at the buffet area everyday so they were very fresh. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here!"

Only negative was the fact we were staying in low season so there was only two other sets of guests but for some reason the hotel put us all next to each other so you could literally hear your neighbours every move. "Aara Wild near Sigiriya was the highlight of our whole Sri Lanka trip. From arrival, the warmth of the welcome set the tone – every member of staff, from housekeeping to guides to the kitchen team, was genuinely, unfailingly lovely. It’s rare to feel so looked after and so at ease at once. The activities were fantastic and varied: a sunset walk with incredible views, a relaxed afternoon tea, a chef’s dinner served poolside under the stars, and a hands-on cooking class. Each felt personal rather than a standard “resort activity.” We travelled with our two young children, and the way the team engaged with them was special – patient, warm and encouraging, and our kids left having formed real bonds with staff. Our 5 year old was in tears when we had to leave, and honestly I was close!! The wildlife was extraordinary right on the doorstep – elephants, lizards, eagles, even a water snake, all without going far. The biodiversity made every walk feel like a small safari. The natural pool was a wonderful centrepiece, and having a private pool at our room too meant we always had the choice of a sociable swim or quiet family time. And the food was genuinely fabulous throughout. Chef was brilliant and we feel ready to have a go at home with all his top tips! If I had to sum it up: Aara Wild isn’t just a beautiful place, it’s full of beautiful people. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Please book Aara!"
