It was a clean room, with ample space (wheelchair accessible, even though we didn't need it). The air was pretty fresh - I always travel with an air cleaner, just in case.Amenities were good - fridge, coffee maker, microwave and hair dryer. Really nice room. It was easy to check in and we were 10-15 minutes before checkin time, but they got us in right away. There were a few restaurants really closeby. It was an easy drive to Morton amphitheater. I appreciated that we didn't have to check out until noon. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We drove into Kansas City very early in the morning for appointments at KU Medical Center. After a long drive and a stressful day of appointments, we arrived at the Marriott Briarcliff with a sigh of relief. We were completely exhausted and yearned for a much needed respite. The front desk attendant went above and beyond to find us a room that was ready and allowed us to check in a bit early. That small act of kindness meant more than they probably realized! She gave us the chance to finally rest and decompress. There are certainly hotels closer to KU Medical Center, but we continue to choose Briarcliff because of the extraordinary staff, peaceful atmosphere, and quiet luxury we experience every single time we stay. Exceptional hospitality is about more than a beautiful property; it’s how you make people feel when they walk through the door. Briarcliff consistently gets that right! It’s our first and only choice of hotels in Kansa City.

The Bad: Very dirty. All the hall and elevator floors look like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. Our room floor was covered in hair when we walked in and the couch was crumby. The tables and tops were covered in sticky spots like they hadn’t been wiped down. The place is pretty, just not clean. No breakfast included, and the food is overpriced and didn’t look good at all. I didn’t try it so take my opinion with caution. The hot tub is covered in dirty foam because they just add chlorine rather than clean it. The Good: The pool is big. Fitness room is good. The fire pit is a wonderful addition for a relaxing chat. They have a very limited Starbucks menu in the cafe. Convenient parking. 10 stars to the staff, they were all soooo friendly and happy.

The Briarcliff is my favorite place to stay whenever I’m in Kansas City. The hotel is consistently spotless, the staff is welcoming, and I always feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay. One of the best features is the beautiful view overlooking the Kansas City skyline, it’s especially stunning in the evening. The location is convenient, with great restaurants and shopping nearby while still being just minutes from downtown. What really sets this hotel apart is how pet-friendly they are. Whenever my dog, Apple, joins me on the trip, the chef always goes out of their way to prepare a special chicken dish just for her. It’s such a thoughtful touch that makes us both feel genuinely welcome. I stay here every time I visit Kansas City, and it never disappoints. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, welcoming hotel that truly goes above and beyond for both guests and their four-legged companions, I can’t recommend The Briarcliff highly enough. Highly recommend!

The Hotel is very clean and very well kept as was our room. We had all we needed. The staff was very welcoming and always ready to help. Fitness room was nice and the pool / hot tub looked nice but got there to late to enjoy it as they close it at a certain time. Sat around the fire pit on the back patio and watched the sunset. So beautiful! Super nice place to stay.

Consistently wonderful coffee daily. Wish the gym had a spin bike, a pool that was 5 yrds longer, and that you had bench press/lat pulldown machines. Good selection of dumbbell weights. Got a 3day pass at KC-north YMCA to swim, bike, and lift a greater variety of weights. Very clean room. Beautiful property.

From the minute we checked in we knew this hotel was exceptional! The people were all friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and very clean. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and fire pit more than once. Oh and the view of downtown KC was magnificent!
