"Excellent location. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Galena historic district, but be prepared for hills. The hotel does have a shuttle, however we did not need to use it. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was a buffet service set up in the restaurant. We definitely enjoyed our dinner at Frank O'Dowd's, and we understand there is live music on the weekends. There is a cute private walking path behind the hotel, called the Fairy Ring. It's a loop trail that's less than 1 mile....

"The beds were like sleeping on plywood. The breakfast was a joke. Cereal and toast. Coffee maker didn't work in the room. Shower couldn't keep hot water. Hair in shower wasn't ours. Door to bathroom falling off. If I could have canceled my stay after first night I would have."

The only thing that was frustrating was the walls seem to not be as soundproof as they could be. "We did not even say we went in the room and it smelt so bad of mildew and mold it was burning my kids noses and burning my throat. We cannot even stay in the room. We were offered another room but no refund however we did not want the other room because their office smelled just like mildew and mold as well. Meaning the whole building smells that way. The guy refused to give us a refund. The room is not worth $200. This was a rip off and they need to use their money to bleach the mold out of...

"Cute historic building. Very helpful staff. Due to age of building, a bit noisy but they supplied earplugs! Breakfast had a good selection of items. If you have issue with stairs, this might not be the property for you."

"Paul was a great host. Showed us around the property and our room. Was very polite and welcoming. This is a very quite place and perfect for a couples get away. We had the tower room which has a whirl pool at the top. Me and my wife loved this place. The property has a gazebo, fire place and a small pond with waterfall. Wry relaxing"

"Requested an early check in a day in advance. Was told 1:30 "would not be a problem" and room was not ready until 3:30. Breakfast area could not accommodate the number of guests there. Shower drain was plugged, left you in inches of standing water."

"The beds really weren’t that comfortable and the fire alarm started going off at 8am when a kid pulled the alarm and the staff couldn’t figure out how to get it shut off right according to The front desk. The shower head leaked bad causing horrible water pressure"
