It's a military base area...variety of shopping and eating within reasonable driving distance. Area seemed to be the lower end of town although we felt safe with homeless around.

A lot of mixed reviews about the property, but the recent stay we had was great. Great price point, friendly and welcoming staff, clean rooms and property and close to a lot of things for someone new to the area.

I enjoyed Killeen. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there is more than just old run-down houses and more than 1 stop light in town. Basically, I'm glad there's more to it than I assumed there was.
