"This is a newer (and cheaper) addition to the Magma Hotel (that’s where you check in). You don’t get the lake view, but it is a neat, tidy little unit that I’d happily stay in again. Great home base for sites like Seljalandfoss and Skogafoss (~1.0-1.5 hr drive) and Fjadrargljufur (15 min drive). Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast at Magma Hotel is an additional cost. I loved having a kitchenette and mini fridge/freezer, since I was traveling with groceries and an ice pack for a bum...
"Beautiful setting, not far from the main road, gorgeous waterfall. Breakfast wasn't anything to wow you but it was free and decent! Delicious croissant, some ham and cheese, an egg, fruit, juice, fresh cucumber.... It wasn't bad at all! The staff were great and it is surrounded by outside amenities very nearby.... The gas station grill has amazing soup and burgers and it's literally two minutes by car ten on foot. Rooms were small but nice! No access to kitchen, refrigeration, or microwave...
"We unfortunately had an issue getting in with the code that was presented? I tried calling the no with no answer then sent an email and no answer, it was only when my husband located someone in the laundry room and he worked there so he entered a different master code and then we got in, we had an issue with the wifi as it was very weak and the tv kept cutting out, we also had to assist another guest as they didn’t know how to work the stove, we also had an issue with the toaster as every time...
"The apartment was spotless, and the check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow. Plus, we had to drive a few miles on a gravel road to get there, which added a bit of adventure. The view was also lovely!"
