"The condo’s furniture and decor was fitting for colonial times however the furniture was terribly worn, dinning chairs had stains and a foot print on the coffee table.
Mildew smell in areas of condo, dust buildup behind night stands, dirty top comforter. Rusted shower curtain rod. The room had not been properly cleaned, sanitized and overall poorly maintained. There was pee on the toilet seats when we arrived, the pool was nice and the staff was friendly but I would not recommend doing the timeshare for free discounted Busch gardens tickets, it’s over 2 hours and they are very pushy, they even called our room the next day to offer us again, that was a huge turn off. The outsides of the community are wonderful but again, the inside needs work but it shouldn’t be work that’s done on a Sunday morning while people are sleeping. The walls are very thin and you can hear stomping from your upstairs neighbors, the beds are very hard and the springs hurt your back, We had to slam the shower door each time to get it to close, the only bonus is it’s close to the parks and outlets. Having asthma myself and a child with it as well this was not a good choice, I have stayed all over this beautiful country and parts of the world and the cleanliness and quality will not allow me to recommend this to you. If you chose to see for yourself I hope your experience is much better."
Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites, an official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is a resort like hotel where big tour groups stay. Overall we were pleased with the location and comfort. There were minor things that were not working such as treadmills and some ice machines but as a whole we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Specifically their continental breakfast is more than that. Their location is in walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. What Expedia doesn’t tell you is that there are about $30 per day mandatory resort fees and we did not use any of their extras to make these really worthwhile but figure that overall it was worth it."
"Our breakfast server Corey was excellent very friendly had a lot of patience with the amount of people that go through the dining area especially my grandson and granddaughter. Staff was very helpful and accommodating would definitely stay there again if in the area. All in all a great experience."
"Hotels like this one damages the hospitality industry in the USA. I should be renovated completely.
Phones were not working and most of the buttons on the key pad were missing, roaches under the sink in the bathroom, night stands did not have handles or were missing screws, tv remote could only turn on tv and only provided on channel to watch,
.
I couldnt take a shower after my wife showered because only hot water was coming. So I came back home after one whole day at the hotel.
No breakfast, or do you call breakfast a cup cake, a disgusting orange juice and apple juice of poor quality, and apples.
Before I tried to take a shower, I found out the phone line was dead, so I had to go all the way down to the front desk to ask what time was breakfast up until.
Front desk staff just mentioned phones in the entire hotel in the rooms were not working. What if we had an emergency? He said to use our own cell phone.
I also noticed the side of the bathtub was barely held by a screw showing a big open gap in between the bathtub and the bottom of the bathroom door."
