"Great: Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping did a great job. Breakfast was good. Beachfront seating on the patio, net bed etc were awesome. A really nice place to stay!
Good: Hotel is located near bars and is not a quiet place at night but it was no surprise to us de to reviews mentioning it. There are some good places to eat and drink at 20 second walk down the beach. It's a good location, just know what to expect!
Meh: This may be an island thing and I don't know if I'm out of line here, but hallways and the bathroom smelled a bit... like a sewer? It sounds terrible and you're not going to gag from it but just be aware if you're sensitive in that way. Again, don't know that's just an island infrastructure thing. And just to be clear, it wouldn't stop us from booking it again. But there is definitely a weird smell going on with plumbing at the hotel.
TL;DR: Good fun location, nice staff, good breakfast, and clean rooms. Smells a bit weird though, but not a deal breaker and might be an island or seasonal thing."
"The bungalow was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. The AC was quick to cool the room thankfully and the bathroom was huge. We had some great days snorkelling and resting during our stay and would happily return to Lub D. The staff were very friendly and helpful I just wish there had been more in the restaurant as at times waiting to order or pay took a while because there was only one member of staff available (who was rushed off their feet)."
"Our stay at Ban's was overall good, but with some inconvieniences. Starting with what we liked, the location was the best. Right in the middle of everything and walking distance for most things. We easily got around on foot and moped. The staff was helpful as well, and we appreciated the on-site convienece stores. The grounds were very pretty too. Breakfast was lovely, with a view of the beach as well. The things we disliked were the walls being very thin. Like extremely. We stayed far from the reception area, which meant quieter nights, but we could still hear our neighbors. Second, the pool was green. Like very green - the whole week. We tried to swim the first day but it didn't feel safe. The bathroom also had a bad sewage-y odor, and the water gor everywhere when showering. Not terrible, we kept the door closed for the smell, but unpleasant to be in there. Last, there were ants in the room and a few bugs. It's hard to control when in a tropical enviroment, but not very pleasant. Overall, a good stay but a few improvements would have made it great."
"The best place we have stayed in Thailand. It was amazing, the view, the beach, the room was beautiful, the food was great and the staff were the most friendly and kind we have met in Thailand. Loved the whole stay. We miss everything about it,"
"Stayed at the villa, very big and clean, nice pool.
It has air conditioning only in the sleeping rooms which is a minus .
Staff are very helpful, breakfast was good.
You can access the beach via stairs but this is good for snorkeling only.
The hotel is far so if you need a taxi it is 500 bath per direction, or you can rent motorcycles but keep in mind the road is very steep .

"Wonderful big clean rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. The property is in a great location close to the beach and activities. Definitely worth the fee for adding breakfast!"
"Our family of 5 had a great stay here. Staff were great as were the breakfasts. The man behind the pool bar, was especially helpful, and he just wants please.
Our rooms were cleaned every day.

"We stayed in the room in front of the sea. The room had glass thru both bedroom, view was amazing. Bathroom needs more cleaning on tiles...but the place was still very nice and I would definitely stay there again and forgot to mentioned: it's quite!!!"
