"This hotel is currently a construction site, which came as a shock after a long drive from the UK. While the guest rooms themselves appear as shown in the photos and seem to have been completed, the rest of the hotel is still undergoing significant renovation works. The restaurant and bar are housed in a temporary structure. Although functional, it felt very basic and not what one would expect from a finished hotel. On check-in, we were initially allocated a room that had not been cleaned or prepared. We were moved to another room, but this was a disappointing start to our stay. We were also informed that rooms are not cleaned daily due to an eco policy. While I fully support environmentally friendly initiatives, this felt more like a cost-saving measure than a genuine sustainability effort. At check-out, we were asked to pay the city tax again, despite having already paid it at check-in, which caused further frustration. Most disappointing was the lack of transparency during the booking process. There was no mention on Expedia that the hotel was undergoing major construction. Had this been clearly stated, we could have made an informed decision about whether we wanted to spend a weekend in a hotel still under renovation."

"Lovely helpful staff, free parking around hotel as well as paid parking at rear of hotel. Very quiet, peaceful location. Loudest noise was the delightful Church bell ringing hours and half hours during the day! "
