When we arrived at 3:00 PM to check in, we were informed, rather abruptly, that check-in was at 4:00 PM and asked to return later. "Very nice hotel that’s close to the train station. Not many high end restaurants close by but if you have a car, no problem. The train station is the origination place of a Mokpo city tour bus. Worth it."
