"Sorry , but I did not enjoy my stay for one week. I entered my room and was welcomed with 3 small cockroaches. I think they come from under the bar fridge. The rooms and decor are dated. The key card constantly do not work and have to go down to reset them. Drinks are definitely not premium, food was not great either. Beach was very nice, but the water was extremely rough. I wouldn’t go out further than 25 feet. I love the bands playing during the afternoons. It was very enjoyable. The pools are nice and somewhat clean. There isn’t much to do in the evenings on the resort. I’ve never been to the Riu chain, but they have to up their game. I don’t go on vacation to eat hotdogs and hamburgers pizza and nacho chips. I’m sorry but that’s my honest opinion. I will say that the staff are wonderful, they are really friendly and make this resort a little more welcoming "

"This was a wonderful mix of vacation resort and authentic local vibes. We really enjoyed the hotel, the customer service was excellent the food was amazing including the buffet! I have food restrictions and never felt like I couldn't order something at the restaurants. The beach was a 10, soft sand and fun surf/boogie waves. The ONLY challenge I had was with the beds- they were VERY firm, pillows were soft the rooms were mildly musty. Overall we would love to go back!"
