"Ample parking. Good shower.
Clean room. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Close enough to restaurants in the town centre. Great value for travellers. No frills but hard to better at the price for a simple over nighter."
"We arrived very soon after the published check-in time but the 1st floor room we were due to use wasn't yet ready, however we were offered an equivalent top (3rd) floor alternative. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. The weather during our stay was very warm (c32-34C) and there's no a/c and no fan so the room did become quite uncomfortable to sleep in. Location-wise, the hotel is in on the quiet main street in town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby."
"Late night pickup from train station after no cabs available. 10 Euro
Late night pasta carbonara after restaurant closed. Excellent chef. Great wine selection
Owner operated, very kind and accommodating.
Stowed our bags after checkout to accommodate touring around town."
"This property is a bed and breakfast.
Staff is only onsite during daytime hours.
There is a restaurant with limited hours.
Great place to use as a home base while out and about."
"We had a very good 2 night stay at Le Grand Hôtel de l'Espérance in Lisieux.
The room was basic but very clean and practical. They still provided a kettle and tea and coffee. A mini fridge would have been nice though. The bathroom had shower only but it had a good amount of storage space.
We had one dinner in their restaurant which was good and good value for money. The service was good and efficient, even though the restaurant was full and only one person serving.
The breakfast was excellent. They had 2 Camembert style cheeses, Emmental, spicy sausages as the hot option, hard boiled eggs, good quality cold cooked ham, good grilled ham, yoghurt, croissants, 2 types of homemade cake, fruit salad, and one of the best apple pies we have ever eaten. The selection was constantly replenished.
The people at the reception very friendly and professional. If we were to visit Lisieux again, we would stay there again."
