The HOTEL caught fire. Folks are required to stay in the MOTEL area. Even though clean and the Management & Staff are truly GREAT,,, the Motel is quite old and we will not return until the HOTEL is open. Management said they are going SLOW, but hope by end of July 2025.

Good thing I called a week prior to our arrival. There was a fire in their main 'enclosed' building. We had to stay in the back section where you park and just walk into your room. A bit osier due to main road out in front and the main interior door is not 100 fit. The shower curtain ROD was hung incorrectly so the shower water was able to land on the floor. The rooms are excellently cleaned every day and linens changed/new towels. The rate is great because we always bring our own toiletries and eat out breakfast at the Waffle House on hwy 167. VJ the Manager is very friendly & accommodating.

You can't access the main lobby due to a recent fire and from what I understand some of the rooms are unusable. Needless to say we did not get the room we paid for and not entirely sure we didn't get overcharged for the room we did get. The room wasn't bad it did have a weird smell almost moldy basement smell. Oddly when we first got to the room the tub faucet was dripping water while the tub was plugged, so there was about 8in of standing water. The room was tidy and nice but the floor was gritty like they haven't swept in a while. Everything worked TV, lamps, faucet, toilet, good water pressure etc.

The room was very clean and i was very happy with it. I wasnt aware that there was a fire there in Oct. I was expecting a pool, laundry room and an ice machine. My granddaughter was playing in a softball tournament and we especially needed the laundry room and ice machine. I think that there shiuld have been a temporary note added to the Motel 6 (Abbeville, LA) website stating that those amenities ARE NOT AVAILABLE at this time. Even though I was happy, i was expecting those amenities and paid for them before i knew those weren't available. I have to also mention, that the hotels in the area were booked and I had booked the rooms at Motel 6 weeks in advance due to the favorable amenities. I was very disappointed when i asked about the ice maker the next morning and found out that it was not working due to the fire in Oct. Then the laundry room was damaged during the fire. I wasn't able to wash uniforms, put ice in her drink cooler or let her have a dip in the pool. Had I known that those amenities were not available, i wouldn't have stayed there. Sort of like false advertisement.

Not the best - needs a lot of changes

This was a 2 night stay as we traveled across country. We picked this location because of the good reviews. However, if we could have changed our plans we would have. Although we booked a non-smoking room, getting to our room through the smoke-filled lobby was extremely unpleasant. Our room was close to the lobby and the smoke drifted down the hallway and under the door to our room. We had to put a towel at the bottom of the door to keep the smoke out. There were multiple holes in the bed sheets. Other people who were staying there with their dogs did not have them on a leash and the dogs rushed at our dog. So, this location does not enforce it's own pet policies. We won't book this location again.

Queen beds are definitely misleading. It was a very tiny bed. Seemed equivalent to a full. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well. Found some others persons hair nearly everywhere.

I fell asleep with cpap cracked plastic…and survived and woke up early, refreshed and hit the road…left 2 days early and got a refund…!!!…😃….a lot more peaceful than Lafayette LA…with triple the traffic…shocked…New Iberia was further away with new road construction….glad I picked Abbeville…!!!…
