"Quaint New England feel that you will not get with modern chain hotels. Plenty of amenities and very accommodating and friendly staff. They will catch the next elevator or walk the stairs even if you let them know its ok to share the elevator. Only difficult part was walking the hill to our room after having one too many. Very walkable to all the restaurants and pubs. "

"Great property, but we didn’t realize it was up on a hill above the town so the lake view is from a bit away and only visible from the upper floors and rooms not blocked by trees. We were drawn to the local sites being walkable; however, again with the hill it was absolutely walkable for some but due to health issues, not us. "Everything was great and amazing. Safe for small kids (my two year old and 5 year old cousins absolutely LOVED it and they had life jackets that fit them perfectly). The lake was very clean as was the beach and overall property. There are many shops and restaurants that are ALL walking distance (I did not have to drive at all the entire trip).
