On returning to to hotel at around 21:00 in the evening and entering the room for the first time to see properly, my family and I were immediately swarmed by insects in the corridor that were on the walls and room door, so after entering the room at haste to avoid any critters to follow, we were in the room which was very dated and in need of an overhaul. Handy to have a restaurant in the hotel, especially for breakfast, which is a standard English and continental breakfast with a good amount of options. The coffees from their machines are pretty good too. Lovely hotel and hotel rooms. Would recommend."

"Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point…. We left quickly to find somewhere to shower and was asked at reception if...

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."
