"Friendly staff, good safe parking, close to city and restaurants - cheap fuel nearby. Restaurant offered a fair selection but we arrived too late to eat. Air conditioned rooms really good in the heatwave."
BRIT HOTEL Essentiel Villefranche-sur-Saône (Ex Balladins) **
10/10 Excellent
"Very pleasant stay! The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options. A special mention for the air conditioning, it worked perfectly and kept the room cool and comfortable, which was absolutely essential during the current heatwave with temperatures above 40°C in France. I would definitely stay here again (I have another reservation for next week) and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay."
"Having pre booked Hotel Car park we were put in a Public car park across the road, this is not the Hotel car park. Breakfast ok but lacked topping up of bread, cold meats, hot food eg scrambled egg etc basically empty.
Having paid hotel cost of parking we then found couldn’t exit the car park without paying another 11 euros. Hotel reception only refunded us with 8 euros should have been 11 ( didn’t realise at the time ) Obviously small amount difference but very irritating!!!!!"
"We arrived on Sunday, at around 3pm and the room was ideal for our overnight stay. Staff extremely accommodating.
We spent the afternoon and evening around the pool with drinks served to us, and the bistro menu.
Breakfast was self serve and plenty of choices."
