Cheerful, smiley hostess Juliette made us very welcome, and was most attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Although Juliette speaks excellent English, she endured my attempts to speak French with gracious tolerance!
Our room (one of four) was spacious and spotlessly clean, with the en-suite bathroom being equally sparkly. We found ample towels, extra pillows and blankets, an extra heater if needed, a hair dryer, a kettle along with tea and coffee, and fresh milk delivered on request - everything had been thought of and provided.
The evening meal was plentiful, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully cooked, but our one small gripe was that at €23 per person for a three course set menu, it was a little on the pricey side. On the big plus side however was that a decent Bordeaux started at under €10, so on balance it was probably a win-win for guests.
Breakfast was very good - perhaps yoghourt would be a welcome addition to the plentiful buffet? The two croissants per person were particularly good, and along with a choice of breads, a good selection of jams, honey, Nutella etc plus a cereal and two cheeses, orange juice and tea, coffee or hot chocolate, provided us with a good start to the day.
All in all, great value, great service and a great deal to come back for.
