"The 1 bedroom suite had a great view from the bedroom & living room. The ocean view from the private balcony was a panorama from south to north. I will be getting this suite next time I'm in Powell River."

"We loved our stay. It was particularly nice that our dog was a welcome guest. The room was very comfortable, and we had the hot tub all to ourselves, as the other 2 guest rooms were empty. Our host was very helpful, and she provided a nice list of favourite local hikes / food / activities. We only wish that Madeira Park was more walkable. There are no pedestrian paths to the "downtown". Thank you for a wonderful stay! I just found out that my sister-in-law stayed there 4 years ago."

"We stayed here on Friday the 16th October. I booked on line and received a helpful text asking when I was arriving, The front desk gentleman was so helpful and even helped carry our bags up the hill to the room. The short walk up the hill the show cases the amazing view of the ocean and Harwood island. Epic sunset! We theme walked downs to Coastal Cookery for dinner, which has a fresh menu and well priced. The TV in the room has full cable, not just a smart TV relying on you to enter your Netflix password like many other places. There is full kitchen, with air fryer. I can recommend this motel and look for to my next trip to Powell River"

"The villa was a great stay, very spacious, clean, well equipped, with great ocean view of the inlet. We were fortunate to have very clear skies at night and were able to see a sky full of stars and the milky way from the balcony. Walking distance to the Skookumchuck Narrows, Sechelt Rapids, trailhead. Highly recommend."

"We had a fantastic stay at Painted Boat Resort. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a two-bedroom unit, which was especially appreciated since we were travelling with our infant. Having the extra space made the stay so much easier. The view from our unit overlooking the marina was absolutely stunning. It was incredibly peaceful, which was perfect when we needed to let our baby nap. The unit itself was beautiful and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and a loft. Our upgraded unit could comfortably accommodate up to eight people. You can tell some of the renovations and finishes are probably 15–20 years old, but everything was still very nicely maintained and felt comfortable and high quality. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen, which made travelling with a young child much more convenient. The location is a big part of the appeal. If you’re looking to get away from the city, relax, enjoy the marina, and spend time outdoors, it’s a beautiful place to stay. There are lots of hiking opportunities nearby. Once you get past Gibsons and Sechelt, though, there isn’t a whole lot to walk around and explore in terms of shops or restaurants, so it’s definitely more of a destination for enjoying nature and relaxing. We even heard that a grizzly bear and her three cubs had been spotted in the area during our stay, which was both really cool and a little terrifying!"

"Wonderful place, the room is spacious with a full kitchen and I highly recommended the Moonshine Spa, which is located on the property and very reasonably priced. I've been here twice and will probably come here again !"
