"The hotel is manned 24/7 by courteous, English speaking staff. Check in was relatively easy. I love the loft style rooms. Very self sufficient with washing machine, dryer, kitchen, microwave, stove, fridge. The bed was very comfy and I slept really well. The Langan Road station (Line 7) is less than 5 minutes walk away. It is very well connected. The first train starts at 5:49 am. You can take the same line to Longyang and from there you can take the Maglev to Pvg Airport. I would come back here again to stay in the future as I find it convenient and very easy on the budget. However, this place is not for those "

"As you step in the lobby you are greeted by professional staff ready to give you the warmest of welcome. The hotel is clean and service quality # 1. The manager helped us with our local SIM card and even offered to talk with China Telecom customer Service despite the fact he was multi tasking (greeting guests, checking them in and supervising his staff). Appreciation to 朱啟纵 who went out of her way to give us advice on local attractions, restaurants and how best to use the subway system. The cleaning lady always greeted us with a smile and frequently asked whether we needed something. She seemed to be there all the time ready to serve. This is why we booked 1 extra night (total 2+1). Definitely recommend the hotel. Exactly what the hotel advertises. No unpleasant surprises. Will definitely be our top choice when visiting Shanghai next time. "Room smelled of open sewer, several complaints had no effect. AC did not work, stuck at 25 degrees, staff told to regulate temperature by opening and closing a small window and turning AC on and off! Internet did not work - sometime totally gone, sometimes too slow to receive email. Could be fixed by reception for 2-3 hours, then gone again. Breakfast room understaffed - long que to get an egg, not one time in the week did we get a complete set of silverware, always one missing on all tables - playing ‘find a knife’ or similar every mornnng. The hotel is undergoing an overdue renovation andevidenly let a lot of people go. Did not lower price so if d something else for 2026"

"I really enjoy staying at this hotel. The interior has a cozy, welcoming feel with soft lighting and warm tones, and the rooms are both comfortable and practical. Small details like the layout, outlets by the bed, and well chosen furniture make it easy to settle in. The gym is also much better than what I usually see at hotels, with enough machines and weights for a proper workout. What makes the biggest difference, though, is the service. Charming, Una, and Yoyo always work together as a team to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They make the whole place feel inviting, and that’s a big part of why I look forward to coming back."
