Top Launceston Hotel Reviews

8/10 Good
"An excellent hotel, but let down by the breakfast. It used to be outstanding, now it’s like a low-budget hotel version."

Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club
6/10 Okay
"Very basic rooms , tiny television, not a lot of room to move about and no air con. Rooms also back onto driving range so can hear the range"

Camelot Castle Hotel
6/10 Okay
"I really wanted to like the Camelot, and wasn’t expecting it to be high spec or anything, but was mostly really put off by two things: the bedding was quite scratchy, and the bathroom was a complete shock.
Pros: large family room, lovely sea view, staff were friendly and helpful on the few occasions I spoke to them, and when we had an issue with the bathroom they accommodated us by allowing us to use a bath in an empty room. Also lovely walks straight out the door and you can walk along the coastal path straight to Tintagel castle.
Cons: definitely tired, a bit more than I expected given the price. Charged £20 per dog per night but no idea what for as nothing was provided not even a dog bowl. The bed was lumpy and the linen was scratchy and I’m not normally sensitive to that sort of thing.
And finally the bathroom…we were in a classic family room, I’m not sure what the bathrooms are like in other room types but it was basically a caravan bathroom awkwardly plonked in the room, no chance of safely washing kids in there so I could not believe it was a family room. Thankfully as Expedia had stated it had a bath and shower they allowed us to go and use a bath on another room (the portable style bathroom had a toilet, a sink and a shower). It felt like something you get in a caravan / service station / student digs, NOT in a castle hotel where you’re paying £200+ per night.
The hotel should be honest with their guests and describe this appropriately, disappointed. "

Leonardo Hotel Plymouth
10/10 Excellent
"Comfortable bed friendly staff and nice selection of items at breakfast "

Future Inn Plymouth
10/10 Excellent
"All 4/5 star at this be it Motel, welcoming staff, I did report, loose shower head rail and one electric socket not working. Room 112. Jane in the restaurant was exceptionally organised and went out of her way to help this elderly ex service couple, she is to be complemented on her efforts. The two single beds 4’ are exceptional. The price of £66 for a room is absolutely acceptable although I would like to see a little reduction in the price of Bfast from £15 to £10, pensioners do not eat £15 worth of Bfast. Best Western in Lostwithiel was £80 and no comparison. This hospital chain has got everything right, any visit will be positive."

Retallack Resort
8/10 Good
"This was our second year of staying with you. The lodge was clean but a little run down and needs some attention. Our hot tub wasn't working for the first 2 nights which was disappointing and we had swimming booked which was cancelled due to an issue on the day. "
