"Nice workout room and delicious breakfast. Quality place."

"We were locked out after the first night. Room not cleaned, smelled of dog and smoking, tub stopper broken, staff made excuses referencing "Covid???" Walked away even though 2nd night was paid. RUN, RUN, RUN."

"The room was clean, well appointed with everything you'd want in a motel room. Very nice."

"Beautiful historic inn by the river. Close to downtown Damascus. We were able to walk to our bike shuttle to get on the creeper. Nice restaurants within walking distance and the hotel in the restaurant was really good. Loved our room and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The lady in charge of breakfast is a gem. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. You will love this place!"

"Bathroom was filthy. Bathtub was dirty and stained. Floors were dirty and every corner was caked with dirt in the bathroom. No bkankets on bed. Bottom sheet was inside out and stained."

"Check in lady was helpful and very friendly. As soon as we got there the elevator was broke down, stuck on second floor. She was trying her best, running back and forth up the steps to fix it. Well….obviously nobody looked at this one....

The exterior spaces are under construction or in need of maintenance. Breakfast was a true Southern experience and a good fit if you are planning to bike the Virginia Creeper. The bathrooms are shared among the guests with the exception of the Honeymoon Suite, which is huge. The estate is minutes from the trail and the outfitters who support bikers and...

"Perfectly located in town. Easy self checkin. Comfortable and clean. We had a great stay."

"Staff very friendly and accommodating Bathroom in much need of renovation bathtub looked scratched and dirty toilet paper dispenser off the wall Bed pillows very thin and not comfortable No drawers in room Bath towels thin and hard to dry off Very noisy and didn’t feel safe"

"Good"

"Our stay was most enjoyable. Accomodations were great. Coffee 24/7! Our hosts were friendly. The downtown location allowed us access to a grocery store, eateries, souvenirs, etc. We will return."
