Nice hotel, but a bit far from the centre

Lovely hotel. Large room which was clean and comfortable. It’s quite a long way from the main centre, which is nice in some ways, but after a day of shopping and walking around it’s the last thing you want is a big walk!

Bedrooms were a good size. Excellent breakfast. Did not try other meals. Decor is very odd. Deffo lack of taste - all a bit 1980's .Library bar was a good room. Swimming pool and spa facilities were really good. Take your own pillows if you like soft ones. Mattresses were excellent. Convenient for the Hippodrome and you can walk into town. bath tubs were bouncy platic and showers were not brilliant.

We had a superb room on the fourth floor - spectacular views and spotlessly clean. It needed a little revamp, though, as there was a hole in a curtain and stains on the carpet, which they had tried to cover with a small mat. There was one mirror, but this was on the back of the door. The bathroom was great, but the towel rail was situated behind and above the toilet and bidet - not the most hygienic position. The breakfast was wonderful and there was an amazing amount on offer, but it was expensive for a person with a small appetite. It’s a delightful place to stay and all the staff seemed friendly, efficient and helpful.

lovely hotel and great spa and pool. Short walk into town and beach access opposite. Rooms were very nice, we were there off season so it was a shame that we didn't get rooms with front view and only had views of back of hotel. Overall very good

Smart and elaborate decoration in the lobby. Room has an artistic distress look furniture with loads of storage space. Front desk staff friendly and warm. We have visiting this hotel since 2009 mainly on short stays and seen many changes. The current decor, which includes mirror in the lift walls and ceiling, end of corridors etc, is the best.

Nice hotel, seems well appointed but very poor bath/ shower. Bath felt so flimsy it moved under your feet as you have a shower. Not what I expected in a superior room!!
