Beware, no elevator in this hotel!! Stairs are steep and long! This is an old hotel that is in very nice shape, but not really modernized. Not ADA compliant. Room is adequately outfitted and clean. Bed is comfy. Restaurant is adequate. Limited choices in Leadville. Servers were very proficient and friendly.

Great for the price! Nice town.

It's a nice little town. We stayed there one night and enjoyed the town. It is a very old building, and the beds are not very comfortable. However, it is quiet and very clean. It is cheaper than the Hotels near the ski resorts that are ripping off everyone.

Staff here was excellent. The hotel is old, and that's what we were looking for, an historic place in a beautiful small down. Perfect for our west road trip. Breakfast was outstanding.

If you are over 60, do not stay here. No elevator given the historic nature of the hotel. We were put on the third floor. 25 steps to level two. Another 20 steps top the third floor. King bed was 36 inches high. Had to get the manager to bring a step stool for my wife. Get a room not overlooking the main drag as it is noisy.

Delaware Hotel on Valentines' Day

I enjoyed staying at the Delaware. Leadville removes the 1-70 traffic and makes it an easy drive to Ski Cooper or Copper Mountain. The Delaware is a wonderful historic building. They provide coffee in the morning and have a lovely restaurant and bar. The accommodations are comfortable. The place was kept warm. Parking is nearby but not at the hotel unless you are lucky to get off the street in front.

Rae at the front desk was kind and courteous. The room was just fine. Nothing special. Bed was very comfortable. The bar downstairs was great. Breakfast was good. I’d stay here again. It’s walking distance to anything downtown. Good place to stay if going to ski cooper.

Historic Hotel

Great, old and historic hotel. Friendly staff and good food! Ask for the “spooky stories” handout upon checking in and go for a wander around the small property. Definitely Stay in room 202 if it’s available!

This hotel was wonderful! So unique and clean. The staff was so friendly and the restaurant that is connected was delicious! And my kids throughly enjoyed the free popcorn. We will definitely be staying again!

Love everything about it except the steps but it wouldn’t be right to have a elevator it would take away from the age authenticity. Bed was super comfy and staff was so helpful. Very clean, food in downstairs restaurant was very unique and good.
