"To say that the photographs of the apartment were misleading would be a misuse of the term. Totally mis-representational would be more appropriate (it was a completely different space). On arrival, there was no-one there to give us keys and no-one answered the phone when we tried repeatedly to call. "Overall, we were a little bit disappointed with our stay at L’Arveyron. When we first got there, the staff was very nice and helpful which was great, but before we walked into our room they mentioned they were having a "barbecue" outside that night. Our room was right above reception and rather than a barbecue it was more of a massive party outside and in the libby of the hotel with a DJ and karaoke. We were happy to put up with people having a good time, but once it got to midnight and we were prepared to wake up at 6am to ski the next morning we were very annoyed that we weren't informed of how loud it would be. Neither of us slept the first night we were there and we even used noise canceling headphones to try to tune it out and nothing helped. We understand that the spot is not advertised as quiet, but we were definitely falsely told about the plans for the evening. The room itself was pretty nice for the most part, but the shower has a lot of mold on the shower head, and also on the bottom of the door there was a bunch. Location wise we enjoyed the spot, but overall if we were to come back to Chamonix again, I would choose this as the last place I would want to stay. "
