"This hotel is central to everywhere we want to go in SF! Plus, we feel safe in this neighbourhood. We love the atmosphere at Union Square, and BART is close by for our trips out to the suburbs. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean, and our room requests were met 100%. We have stayed at the Handlery many times over the years, and will stay here again! "Parking is tight. It can be “noisy,” but I bring ear plugs so that wasn’t a problem. Rooms were decent and the beach and other places were walking distance. "

"It depends on what you can tolerate and what you can't. Let's say good things first. The location is excellent. It’s right in front of Ocean Beach. You can walk, jog, ride a bike, or swim. I had a wonderful early morning stroll on the sand. The room is roomy, the beds are clean and comfortable, there are clean towels, and there is a fridge and microwave. I stayed with three teenage daughters, and we literally just checked in late, showered, slept, got up the next day, and left. The toilet sink was cracked and painted over, and the bathtub was almost plugged, so it didn't drain fast. Inside the microwave, there was no turning dish, but it worked. It's Motel 6, but it's pricier per night than other locations because of its location. We slept fine, and I enjoyed the morning St or all at the beach so. I may stay again if I have the chance to visit San Francisco. "
