"The staff was very friendly and helpful, but overall the hotel felt dated and underwhelming for a property presenting itself as a resort. The rooms were average, and the building itself feels very old with limited renovations. The pillows were honestly some of the worst I’ve experienced at a hotel - very lumpy and uncomfortable, and definitely in need of replacement. Overall, I’d consider this more of a 3-star hotel experience than a true resort stay."

"We chose this property for its location and proximity to places we were visiting during our stay in the north suburbs. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were given a handicap accessible room which was fine. It was on the first floor, close to an access door to the parking lot. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were there for a family visit so we didn't need the desk area but it is always helpful to have a frig to store my medicine! Breakfast is served in an area off the lobby....

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the walls were not very sound proof at all. The tv in the living area next door could be heard all night while sleeping in the pullout in our living room. I also woke up to the Rocky theme coming from the room on the other side. Regardless, I think I would stay there again for the room layout and cleanliness."

"The hotel is beautiful. The staff seems like they are being forced to work there and hate their jobs. Also, the coffee maker in our room was broken. When we asked for a replacement, we were told there is nothing they could do. We could tell by the empty lot that the hotel wasn’t sold out. Why not take one from an empty room? I used to work for a hotel that really cared about the guests. No wonder this hotel is empty. We will not be staying again nor will we recommend this place."

"My daughter and I stayed while visiting Rosalind Franklin University. We checked in around 8 pm and the lady at the desk seemed bothered by our late arrival. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy, however our AC unit had to stay on constant fan in order for the room to stay cool. Breakfast was your typical hotel choices. "Upon check in room was absolutely filthy. Looked as if it had never been cleaned. I stayed with my family and have two infants and could not stay in this room. Staff was helpful and moved us to a small but clean room. Make sure to check the room thoroughly before staying in it!"

"The staff are helpful and friendly. But the rooms are a dump… the carpets are so dirty our socks turned black. The sheets are threadbare, dirty, with holes. The bathroom was filthy. Towels were old. The room smelled bad. Do not stay here… should be condemned. For what I paid for the room, it was money wasted (2/3 more than it should have been)."

"I had a midweek stay here. Staff was helpful, rooms clean, and beach is beautiful. There was limited staff working so they were having to wear many hats. Restaurant food was good but again, only one server which made service a bit slow, but I was on vacation and not bothered by a longer wait. Would stay here again."
