Domaine de la Forêt d’Orient, Logis Hôtel, Restaurant, Spa & Golf
8/10 Good
"Pros: property is literally in the middle of nowhere, it had good sized family bedroom for a family of 4. Our bedroom, towels and linens was well maintained. Option for hot & cold breakfast was available till 10:00am. Good facility to practise golf. Plenty of free parking.
Cons: sadly the property is in a dire need for an update and upkeep. It was sad to see outside sitting area and pool area looking very dilapidated and run down. At the very front of the property there was a broken lamppost lying on the ground. This property has so much potential and I really hope they can invest some money to carry out the maintenance."
"Everything was fine - our room was authentic and high spec in the best way - separate bathroom and wc top class -but it was too dark having a small low down window- you couldn't see out of it without bending down - I guess this was the basic accommodation. I wouldn't particularly want to stay in that particular room again but would certainly stay in a room with a proper window. We had an aperitif in the lovely garden and then the basic set menu in the restaurant and it was excellent. There are nice grounds and pools etc. It is a little off the beaten track but we loved it."

10/10 Excellent
"Cabin was awesome and immaculately clean. Staff were brilliant too and the breakfast had a great range; for our 2 dogs too.
Great setting in the river with very pleasant walks as well.
Highly recommend!"
"Nice individual units, small but perfectly adequate.
Good selection of food at breakfast, but did not feel relaxed as it was take a tray and collect your food as you go, it may have been due to the large groups present at the time."
"Breakfast fresh but coffee was bad. Room. Ice and quiet but bathroom shower not working properly and floor tiles loose. Lovely gardens and good safe parking. I really like this hotel but the refit has been done on the cheap which is disappointing. The bed is less comfortable than before."
