"The best thing about Hotel Eleo was its staff. The bed wasn't so bad either. But the worst thing was that horrible Nespresso coffee maker. When first booking the room and seeing the amenities, I ordered my favorite coffee in a Nespresso pod to use. Terrible. Foamy and bitter - no matter which brand of coffee used. But the nearness to Shands was such a plus and the availability of the shuttle service to the hospital 24/7 certainly outweighed the bad coffee. And with the Opus coffee kiosk in the hospital lobby, I was ok. I had breakfast one day and then lunch another day at the restaurant there. Both were great. And William, the bartender/server made me feel as if we were old friends. If a visit to Shands was ever in the future, I would stay at the Eleo again...but I'd pack my little Keurig! "

This property is a total dump!!! It is an old and very disgusting hotel that has tried to improve its look by renovating the rooms and lobby with cheap materials and cheap remodeling. First of all, the hotel exterior is enough to make you vomit and scared to even go inside. Indoors have such a terrible smell, that you might as well go to a motel or hostel. You won't be able to breath. The so-called "remodeling" was done to cover up the low-quality rooms, but it is absolutely terrible. There are cracks and stains and mold everywhere. The beds are gross with stains too. If all this was not enough to turn you away, beware of the COCKROACHES IN THE ROOM!! I have pictures of all of this and will try to post them here. I stayed in this hotel only because it was half price of the other places, and i still regret it. I might be scarred for a long time, it was so disgusting!! Yuck "

"Clean room"

"A very slow check in was the main complaint. Normally they find the reservation from Expedia and make the keys and we’re done. For some reason it took a lot of typing on the keyboard to get us checked in. Other than that, the room was nice, bed was pretty good though the springs or bed frame made a slight metallic noise when I turned over to the middle of the bed, the bath room was good and breakfast was great with waffles, crispy bacon and scrambled eggs plus coffee. Good stay overall. "

"Room was okay.. although tv was going bad. Bottom of the screen turning colors. The air conditioner made a horrible horrible sound and hard to sleep. The pillows are very hard. But again we just there to sleep really. We ended up leaving a day sooner even though we had paid bc of issues. "
